Don’t forget:
With the note that we could give something for Christmas, when ordering a headphone starting at 2,000 euros, a Signature PURE is included as a gift.
And every Signature PURE ordered online from us receives a 4-meter extension cable as a small courtesy.
Product reviews are often more important for small companies like ULTRASONE than for large, well-known companies such as Apple, because they have a significant impact on the perception and success of a lesser-known or less established business.
Small companies usually do not yet have a widely established reputation and are often known only within their specific target group. Reviews from independent sources help potential customers develop trust in the quality of the products or services. Positive reviews and independent recommendations can create the initial trust that large brands often enjoy automatically.
Large companies are often already well known through advertising and brand recognition. Customers trust their reputation, even when no detailed reviews are available. Small companies do not have this level of recognition and must therefore rely on credible reviews to become visible and competitive.
Customers are generally more skeptical of lesser-known brands and rely more strongly on the opinions of third parties, such as reviews, ratings, or comparison platforms. Reviews act as a form of “social proof” that can positively influence the purchasing decision.
Small companies also compete directly with larger, established brands. Excellent test results can be a decisive differentiating factor. A strong review highlights the company and can even lead customers to choose it over well-known brands.
Reviews can also serve as an effective marketing tool. They give small companies the opportunity to appear in media outlets or on platforms they might otherwise never reach. For large companies, reviews are more of a supplementary element, whereas for small companies they are often a central pillar of the marketing strategy.
Large companies can invest significant amounts of money in extensive marketing campaigns to promote their image, even without independent reviews. Small companies often do not have such budgets and therefore rely on authentic and credible evaluations to build their reputation.
For small companies, reviews are therefore one of the key tools for building trust, gaining attention, and standing out from the competition. While large companies often benefit from their established reputation, reviews are often one of the few ways for smaller companies to position themselves and convince their target audience.
My opinion on this:
Small companies like ours cannot compete with the market power of large corporations, even when they possess outstanding sound technologies. Especially today, it is relatively easy to convince customers through intensive media channel exposure to buy a product—even if, upon closer examination, it may not fully deliver what it promises.
For that reason, product reviews—although certainly more useful for us than for Apple—are not necessarily the ideal way to increase brand awareness. Trade shows, influencers, and above all face-to-face recommendations remain the most important methods for us.
Nevertheless, in 2025 there will once again be significantly more reviews of our products than in recent years—also because there is a lot of new innovation coming.
