Up to what company size can you still give personal feedback directly to the CEO? At trade shows you might still meet the CEOs of companies like Beyerdynamic or Austrian Audio. But they are rarely available for direct customer conversations.
It is different at ULTRASONE, where we not only enjoy explaining S-Logic, but also very much enjoy discussing customer feedback face to face. This was also the case with a customer from Tyrol, Austria, who visited us. Afterwards we received the following message, which I would like to quote in excerpts:
“It has only been 11 weeks since I had the opportunity to visit the mecca of headphone manufacturing at your facility on Raucherberg.
I would like to thank you again for the friendly welcome, the tour of the company, and your interesting and open explanations. And not least for your generous service. My Pro 900 now fits perfectly again, and its sound was and still is simply outstanding.Listening to the Founders Edition was, of course, particularly impressive. I would have loved to say ‘please pack it up for me,’ but unfortunately I did not have the necessary budget for that.
However, even with the Signature Master MKII in balanced mode, even more finely resolved sound worlds open up on the ‘ultrasonically’ spacious stage. Although there are testers and experts who consider this to be a placebo effect.
For that reason, I mainly use it on my stationary setup in balanced mode or at the 6.35 mm output of my Lehmann Linear headphone amplifier. Recently, after modernizing my system with the FiiO R7, it fully unfolds its potential at the 4.4 mm output, while more and more Hi-Res audio files are finding their way onto the SD card.
However, this leads to a Christmas wish for Santa: the supplied cable with the 4.4 mm plug is a bit too short for me (+50 cm would be ideal), while the cable with the 6.35 mm plug is again too long. Despite intensive Googling, I couldn’t find anything suitable on the market. Apparently, 4.4 to 2.5 balanced does not exist, and I could only find a single extension cable with a 4.4 plug to 4.4 socket. Do you perhaps have a solution or a source for this?
In any case, I wish you, your wife, and the entire team a wonderful and relaxing Christmas season and continued technical and economic success, despite the apparently approaching ‘industrial twilight’ in Germany (and similarly in Austria). I will certainly continue to recommend you and your products with full conviction.”
My opinion on this:
I greatly value personal contact with our customers, and this gentleman from Austria clearly demonstrates how we understand and practice sustainability and what true customer service means.
Feedback like this is always balm for the soul and the heart—thank you very much for it. People like you constantly remind us why we do our work with so much passion and dedication.
