Those were truly wild times during the pandemic in 2020.
One thing they certainly brought with them: a lot more improvisation than usual, and sometimes that led to surprisingly beautiful results. And another thing grew explosively stronger during that time: social media.
Many people showed what they were doing at home — and in quite a few cases, or perhaps even most of them, one might not necessarily have wanted to know in too much detail.
But one small Instagram video really surprised and delighted me.
ULTRASONE does not pay endorsements for artists to use our products. When we work with an artist, it is because that artist is genuinely convinced by our products and our technology. And we know very well that far more artists use ULTRASONE in their daily work than we are even aware of.
Nevertheless, we were especially pleased in the case of Shakira. She was under contract with another brand, but privately she didn’t let anyone tell her what a good headphone should be — she chose it herself.
During the lockdown, she delighted her fans with a video of herself playing the drums with impressive skills. But what impressed us even more was what we saw on her ears.

My opinion on this:
It is always a very special pleasure when you hear that artists are using the best technology on the market out of pure conviction. It confirms once again that we are right not to sign contracts where we pay artists — no matter how famous — to wear our products.
Beats has become very large and successful with exactly that strategy. But when I listen to the comments about it, I would rather remain smaller and successful.
