At ULTRASONE, we have always maintained that a single pair of headphones cannot ideally meet all listening needs. The requirements of classical or other acoustic music, ranging all the way to electronic music or even gaming, are too diverse to be perfectly captured by a single pair of headphones. After all, you wouldn’t drive an SUV on a race track—or vice versa. Crossover is always a compromise, which is why ULTRASONE doesn’t offer such a product.

ULTRASONE offers specialized models like the Edition 8 EX. With razor-sharp precision, it is ideally suited for electronic music and gaming, as it combines titanium-coated transducers with the unique S-Logic-EX system like no other device on the market.

The closed-back design further enhances these characteristics, as external noise can be largely blocked out. This allows for significantly improved performance in gaming, for example, because you can perceive sounds not only more precisely and clearly, but also sooner. Experienced gamers have confirmed this to us repeatedly, even though these headphones were not originally designed for gaming.

Over the years, these headphones have continued to improve. As is customary with ULTRASONE, product enhancements are always incorporated into the current series. Among other things, the internal OFC cables have been replaced with silver-coated ones, and the connection cables have been improved.
